Holy Toledo Im a bad blogger. Actually, Toledo is the reason I'm a bad blogger.DANG YOU TOLEDO! (with one fist in the air). I am in the middle of some of the most stressful work of my life for the past month and a half. I have spent obscene amounts of time in Ohio as I have been given the task of fixing a lot of problems with two of our stores that are severely behind schedule. Poor supervision on these jobs by our superintendents means that these jobs have some pretty big problems that need to be solved. They aren't very complicated but take a lot of time. Imagine a block wall full of concrete. Vertical Rebar SHOULD be wherever there is concrete in the wall. Imagine cutting the wall apart, chipping out all the concrete, putting in the vertical rebar and then putting concrete back in. Thats what I'm in charge of doing at these stores. The hard part is knowing how incredibly easy it would have been to get it right the first time had someone paid attention. That thought frequently pops into my head as I see all of these mistakes....GRRRRR. The good news is that I finished one of the two projects I'm working on today! Thats a huge relief. Now I can focus on the challenge I face in Findlay, OH.I'm looking forward to a few days off when I get back to beloved NC. I'm currently making plans to make it out to Cali to visit Kayle, Trisha, Daniel, and others this summer. I want Jordan to go with me but hes worried about the funds. If you want to donate a pledge to him, just get in touch with us. Its gonna be incredible I think. I'm in Oberlin Ohio tonight, the place where Charles Finney resided as the president of Oberlin University. I spent the evening in the Finney Chapel as I stumbled upon a jazz concert that happened to be held there featuring Slide Hampton. Pretty good stuff. At one point he held a note for over 20 seconds using some kind of circular breathing trick. I thought only Buddhists monks did that crap? Anyway, I hope you all are doing well. I am despite all of my complaining. i hope to see everyone soon, even you Jessica
