Thanky Panky

So I'm updating from South Cacalacky where we spent Thanksgiving this year with Jessica and the inlaws. Quite an ed-venture. I really enjoyed dinner with the new fam. We all ended up sitting at the kids table during dinner, just like olden days. I got to spend some time with one of my best friends, Wes Reardon. We checked out the newest Harry Potter and then crashed Jareds 5year high school reunion.

We also spent some time outside enjoying the 65 degree weather in the day! They still have leaves on the trees here!

(-->)Jordan tryping npw) We happened to be in town during the third biannual Mario Kart Kup. As you can see the main wvent was held at jessie's house. Pop kept running stats on his iBook. Jared set a personal best on RBI's (Racing Boosts Implemented) and Simmie earned his second career triple-double.... but then we realized you can't triple stamp a double stamp. Jessica pulled out a stunning victory... then she went to bed and we held the real tournament. I hope everyone else in the world can appreciate a little QT in front of the TV with their prospective loved ones. Blue shells are awesome! In other news, nice to meet you Kelsea (spelling) and Addie, I love your truffles and artistic aptitude....you'll go far.

Whatever

This week was pretty packed with events and goings on. Jordan and Jessie and Chris were in town this weekend for Jareds B-day. Happy Birthday Jared! He's 24 and in two weeks is leaving the country for the Ukraine to take up his doodies as a full fledged proclaimer of the gospel on foreign soil! I can't believe its finally happening The only thing was that Jessica had a few to many cocktails and got a little clingy at the party, completely cramping Chris' robot maneuverings. The ole ball and chain.
Jared spoke at Redeemer Pres. on Sunday before they prayed over him. Got to see Andy & Josh and Allison over a fine meal at Golden Corral. The golden moments also were corralled into a tightly packed herd of fond memories. Cowboy thy name is love.
So Tues I flew for the day up to WV to check on one of the jobsites and make sure things were running smoothly. I love flying in that little plane despite the fact that the last time it was in the air had to make an emergency landing with no engine. We were fine though and I was back in time to catch the Pat Metheny show in Boone. Jared ended up being out of town so I called Seth an hour before the show to offer him a ticket. Thanks for being a good sport Seth. I really was looking forward to just enjoying the show but Pat called me out of the audience to fill in on the drums. Seriouly though, Antonio Sanchez, I signed some autographs for you on the way out. What do you think?

In other news, thank you Jesus for your love and redemption! Thank you...

Bloggin cops

Imogen Heaps album: Speak for Yourself is out this week. Get it soon because they might run out of downloadable files. In other news, I got a speeding ticket. Bummer. I'd been in the car for 7 hours and got a little antsy today. By antsy I mean I got mad because I wasn't there yet. There being here. Here being Fayetteville, WV, home of the New River Gorge (and soon a Wal-Mart), which is closed off one day a year for BASE jumpers. Not so spectacular in the dark...
